So it is very important to be able to understand
documents or website that give written information.

Therefore, people with intellectual disabilities
need accessible information.
If they do not get it,
they will not be able to participate in society.

If we do not give them accessible information,
it is called discrimination.
If we do not give them accessible information,
we are creating social exclusion.

Inclusion Europe gives you accessible information
in a format called "easy-to-read".
Inclusion Europe wrote some guidelines
on how to write in easy-to-read.
You can find them here.
They are not written into easy-to-read
so you might need the help of your support person
to read them.

It is important to see quickly
if the information is accessible or not.
Therefore, we created
the "European easy-to-read logo".
Everytime you see this logo,
it means that the document is easy-to-read.
