Mainstreaming Mental Disability Policies Project

Easy To Read Normal Text

People with intellectual disabilities and people with mental health problems are the most discriminated and excluded groups of disabled people (in this project, we will use the term “people with mental disabilities” for those two groups combined).

Even more difficult is the situation in the new member states of the EU.

The purpose of the “Mainstreaming Mental Disability Policy” project is to make politicians and policy makers in the 8 new EU member states more aware of the existence, needs and capacities of the people and of the organisations of people with mental disabilities.
